Healing is supported through warmth, compassion, and a strong therapeutic relationship, helping children feel seen and understood. With over 10 years of experience working with children, youth, and parents from diverse populations across community, school, and counselling settings, Bridgette has developed a deep appreciation for and trust in expressive therapies as a meaningful way to support children in understanding and processing their emotions.
Bridgette’s work is grounded in a child-focused and attachment-based framework and centres on the use of expressive modalities such as Play Therapy, Sandplay, and Art Therapy to engage and support children throughout the therapeutic process. When appropriate, she also incorporates cognitive behavioural, exposure, and emotion-focused approaches in her work.
Bridgette views counselling as a collaborative process and understands that therapy can feel daunting at times for children and their parents or guardians. She therefore strives to make the process as meaningful and fulfilling as possible for the whole family by using encouragement, thoughtful communication, and acceptance, while always prioritizing the best interests and confidentiality of the child.
Bridgette works with children aged 12 and under. Her office is located in Kanata at 430 Hazeldean Road.
