My approach to psychotherapy is based on the belief that we all possess the strength and resources necessary to make positive, meaningful changes in our lives. My goal is to help clients develop solutions to the problems life presents—building resilience and coping skills, reconnecting with their values, and thinking critically (and compassionately) about their own distress processes. In other words, to help them develop their own compassionate inner therapist.
I strive to create a space that is collaborative, accepting, nonjudgmental, and authentic—qualities I view as essential to the therapeutic relationship.
Since 2018, I have helped people dealing with a variety of issues, including anxiety disorders and OCD, depression, existential dilemmas, grief, substance use, trauma, and ADD/ADHD. My background as a therapist is rooted in cognitive therapies such as ACT and CBT, informed by both a humanistic approach and attachment theory. I work with both individuals and couples.
I understand that life presents challenges that can leave us feeling stuck, uncertain, and anxious—often despite our best efforts. I also understand that deciding to make a change can be intimidating. If you’ve been thinking about making a change, I encourage you to reach out and take the first step in your therapy journey.
