Sage Sezlik (she/her) provides psychotherapy and assessment services to adults who are experiencing distress and difficulties in a range of areas. These include but are not limited to issues related to depression and mood, anger and emotion regulation, anxiety and stress, personal growth, relationship struggles, self-esteem, adjustment issues, traumatic experiences, as well as grief/loss and existential concerns. Sage also provides psychoeducational assessments for adults to evaluate for learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and gifted status. Sage is committed to inclusivity and welcomes working with individuals from diverse socio-cultural identity groups (e.g., gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity).
Sage’s therapeutic approach is client-centered and strengths-based. She aims to foster a safe, warm, and genuine therapeutic environment where she works collaboratively to form a treatment plan best suited to clients’ strengths, needs, and goals. Sage integrates various evidence-based approaches into her practice including emotion-focused, attachment-based, mindfulness, dialectical behavioural, and cognitive behavioural therapies. Since everyone is unique, no therapeutic process will look the exact same. Sage will check in throughout this process to ensure client needs and feedback are incorporated to enhance their experience and success in therapy.

She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research (CPSR) in Ottawa. Over the course of her training, Sage gained experience providing psychological services to adults, youth, and children in a variety of clinical settings, including in school, hospital, and community practices. Sage is involved in research focusing on the parent-child relationship and has published and presented her research in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences. She maintains memberships with provincial and local psychological associations. In addition, she regularly attends conferences and professional workshops/ seminars to remain informed on current developments in the field.
At Queensview Professional Services, she is a therapist under the supervision of Dr. Jacob Kaiserman, C.Psych. Sage looks forward to meeting clients to explore how she can provide support to help promote their recovery and personal growth.
