Konrad is expecting to begin taking new clients near the end of 2024 (currently waitlist only).

Everyone goes through tough times. Not everyone has to go through those alone without guidance and support. Identifying the right therapist can be crucial to your healing and personal growth.

I provide assessment and therapy services to adults and couples as an Ottawa therapist. I am qualified to assess and diagnose a variety of issues, including mood disorders (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder), anxiety (e.g., Social Anxiety Disorder, phobias), sexual disorders, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Whether someone wants a formal diagnosis or not, I serve people facing a range of difficulties, such as issues with mood (e.g., depression), anxiety, trauma, relationship or interpersonal challenges. Further, I have specialized training in sex therapy (e.g., arousal, desire, orgasm difficulties). I am committed to providing an inclusive and affirming space for LGBTQ2S+ individuals, whether they seek to address issues related to their identities or simply require a supportive environment that respects their lived experiences.

I strive to create a therapeutic environment characterized by mutual respect, trust, and safety. I take an integrative approach, using evidence-based approaches to meet the specific needs of the people I work with, which may involve elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness.

I am in the final months of a PhD program in clinical psychology. Currently, I work as a part-time professor, a role I will maintain until January 2025, when I will transition to full-time status; duties include training students in therapy for adults and couples, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses, and leading a research program that focuses on sexuality, the responsible inclusion of trans identities in research, and interventions aimed at reducing homelessness.

I offer therapy sessions both virtually (telehealth) and in person. For in-person services, I operate from the University of Ottawa’s Vanier building, conveniently located downtown, steps away from the uOttawa LRT station. For telehealth services, I can serve anyone based in Ontario.

I am a therapist working under the supervision of Dr. Jacob Kaiserman, C.Psych.
